Something different from the caption competition, during a game this season, or last, who knows! the ball was thrown in for a line out. Lets see if anyone can place where the ball should be. Usual rules apply (as deemed by admin/ed) submissions I think will be recorded automatically – good luck (if this proves to be popular it might happen again)Oh by the way – the original has been taken of the website to stop you lot cheating:)

following P&G’s fourth win on the trot, here are some of the photos from the game against London French RFC Score 24-10
Herts / Middx Div 2. P&G 24 London French 10
Pinner make it four in a row
Only joking, here’s the English version!
P&G’ s , having gained promotion in two seasons running, initially found life in the higher league a little harder. However by recording their fourth successive win and the fifth of the season they reach the half-way stage in the top half of the league. The visitors to Shaftesbury Playing Fields on Saturday were London French, also newly promoted, with whom they had two close encounters in the previous season.
Pinner made a dramatic start when shortly after the kick-off captain Reza Sibilant powered over to score close in. Mark Razzell added the conversion to give P&G an early 7 – 0 lead. This induced a bit of complacency in the home side who were forced to play much of the next half hour in their own half. With only five minutes to go before half-time London French were adjudged to have handled in a ruck on their 22 metre line. Ignoring the chance of 3 points the captain took a quick penalty before passing out to James Burns who found prop Aaron Nicholas on hand to score on the right. The conversion was unsuccessful but following the re-start P&G’s again attacked and were awarded a scrum on the visitors 10m line. The Pinner pack had begun to dominate the set pieces enabling No 8 Bernie Richter to pick up the ball and serge forward well into the 22. When finally stopped he managed to pass the ball to right winger Chris Jepson who went over in the corner to give the home side a comfortable 17 – 0 half-time lead.
The second half started with Pinner being more positive with the pack shoving London French back on several scrums. Line-outs were not so clear cut. After thirteen minutes another decisive scrum, this time on the visitor’s 22 saw interplay between the scrum and fly-halves creating an opening for centre Alex Goring to run through the defence from 30 m out to score under the post. This time full-back Mark Razzell made no mistake. Pinner had now earned their bonus point for the forth try and had secured a 24 – 0 lead. The home side now appeared to relax, too many penalties were conceded. This enabled London French to get back into the game. They were only deprived of their first try by a strong tackle by No. 8 Richter. On the half-hour P&G’s lost the ball in a ruck on their own 10 metre line and some not too convincing tackling allowed the visitors to score wide out on the right bring the score to 24 -5. London French now began to press heavily sensing a possible turn round. With a couple of minutes left they won a scrum on the P&G 22 and moving the ball swiftly to the right scored their second try to bring the final score to 24 – 10 for the home side.
Next Saturday P&G’s are away to Ickenham hoping to repeat the early season victory. The Club will be staging its usual Boxing Day match at Shaftesbury Playing Fields on Sun 26th December with the kick-off at 11:30 am followed post Christmas festivities. All are welcome, whether as players or supporters.
